Okay! So. Have been horribly bad at updating due to parents insisting that I 'concentrate on my schoolwork'. But now they are all merrily loving and kind after my rather good Parents' Evening, and so I am updating!
With drabbles! Good Omens drabbles- seventeen of them, to be exact. Wrote them for a friend for what turned out to be an extraordinarily late Christmas present, and I shall now post them!
( Le drabblyness )
So, yes. Lalala... *huggles everyone happily* Am busy sending off to various unis for prospectuses (ie. all universities with nice names, because who would want 'Glasgow' on their address? *means No Offence to Glasgow people, just dislikes the letter 'g'*) Am also reading Parvati Prevails, which makes me Very Happy. Solykeomgyayness! *dances off into sunset* *ignores fact that 'tis now technically nighttime*

Okay, so. The tsunami was a horrible event. I know that, quite perfectly well. But I can't feel it. I can't cry my eyes out over these people in foreign countries, experiencing things that I'll never know about. And, well, while I think it would be lovely if all their problems stopped, I just can't make myself really feel anything for them.
I'm quite sure that this shouldn't, technically, make me a horrible person. I just feel distanced from it all.
I think I'll send them my Christmas money, though. But even that's just because I have enough books to read anyway, as well as a thousand fanfics (quite literally), and I watch DVDs once and never again. So there isn't a point to buying anything, and I'm only sending it because I can't think of anything better to do with it.

Name: Quite Matter-Of-Fact, Actually Author: sihleira Pairing: Ginny/Pansy Rating: PG-13/borderline PG Word Count: 2882 words precisely Disclaimer: Not mine Warnings: Absolutely nothing that you’d need to be warned about... Challenge: Written for eleret in the Slash Wedding Ficathon. She wanted a drunken conversation between Harry and Draco, Dumbledore to perform the ceremony, a supportive Ron and an unsupportive Molly. I managed everything except the drunken conversation in my haste to get it finished (for it was indeed superlatively late). She dropped out, unfortunately, and probably won’t see this. However, if you do, eleret, I hope you enjoy it!

3) Handmade schtuff, like mixed CDs or tapes or anything.

5) Fic recs, any ship except ones involving Dumbledore, Hagrid, Voldemort
6) Fics or ficlets or drabbles written for me would also be loffed upon

So, it took me a long time to remember about this at the same time I'm not writing/woeing about not writing, because I am procrastinatory about procrastination, ie. Motivationally Challenged.
boho is absolutely loffly in every single way. I was in awe of her when I first found her journal, because she just seemed so nice and squee and she made me giggle muchly with the description of herself. And she wrote me this incredibly nice email letting me join slash monthly, and that was also very verreh squee. And she writes most fantastically, and is never horrible to anyone, and she bounces and she has a bounce icon, and wheeee! Also, she's extremely funny and sweet and Le Cooliful.

I never would have thought about this pairing, but a little while ago 'twas blinded_dream's birthday, and so I wrote her a 500 word ficlet. Starring Blaise and Colin. Because she loffs them and I loff her and so she must have her pretteh ficletness!
So, do read:

Taken from boho
1. Reply to this post if you want/need me to tell you how cool you are! (Sorry, but if I don't actually know who you are, it doesn't really work, this is supposed to be genuine)
2. Watch my journal over the next few days for a post just about you and why I think you rock my socks.
3. Post these instructions in your journal and give your friends a much needed dose of love and adoration!

...Okay, I was going to write a long, involved entry. I just can't concentrate.
America will get out of this, sometime. Maybe in four or eight years.
The presidents are elected for the future, not for the present or past. And every single Bush supporter elected him to help make their futures work.
They did this to themselves, but the American presidency affects the whole world. But I want to ask you, what will the world look like then?
...Yes, this is probably impossible to understand. I'm just upset. Do forgive me.

Title: The Very Best Things of All Author Name: Sihleira Rating: PG-13 Disclaimer: Not mine, never will be Notes: Neville/Goyle Written for boho through slash_monthly. Erm. I hope you like it. I wasn’t sure that I’d manage this pairing, but hopeful I pulled it off without making either of them too OOC. And I do hope it's vaguely fluffy enough... *not used to writing fluff*

So! I went to Casualty. And there were no dying people or gay men exchanging love sonnets anywhere. 'Twas rather disappointing.
I only actually went because I got a contact lens stuck in my eye...
Meh, I shall now feel experienced and worldly-wise.
Also, I'm quitting French! *loffs her Latin teacher, who will help her switch to Politics* I do hope that the timetabling is okay...

I had a moderating thingy today. Greek and Latin, all 'Excellent' from both teachers. English was all 'Excellent' from one, and all 'Very Good' from the other.
French was absolutely dreadful. *le sigh* I really, really wish I'd picked Politics, but I think it's too late to change now. It's just that I only picked French in the first place because I needed another subject, and I wasn't so interested in politics then... I thought it'd be an easy A, but it's really horribly hard.
I have to suffer through this for the next eight months. Ish.
On the other hand, I'm going to Cambridge tomorrow! So this is like an early start to my holidays.

Watching the presidential debate...
And yet again, Bush reminds Kerry about Poland. "We're not alone! We have Britain! And Poland!"
ETA: Bush: "If you look at his (Kerry's) record in the Senate..."
Perhaps if Bush looked at Kerry's record in the Senate, he'd see that Kerry voted in about 1,600 out of 1,700 possible votes.
ETA (again): Bush doesn't want personal opinions to enter someone's decisions in voting, and he wants people to strictly interpret the Constitution? How in hell are his religious views not personal? Doesn't the Constitution support the right to pursue happiness as long as it doesn't affect the rights of others?

Title: Not Exactly Perfect Author Name: sihleira Rating: PG-13, I guess? Pairing: Hermione/Pansy Disclaimer: None of these characters or settings are mine. Notes: Written for hiccupsweets through slash_monthly. Methinks I screwed up the tense a lot, and it's unbeta-ed, as I only finished it this morning.
